HomeCost Estimator (HomeCost) is a Shareware product. This means that in order to legally use it

beyond the 7-day evaluation period, you must purchase it.

You may register your copy of HomeCost as follows:

Jacksonville, FL 32216. Upon receipt, we will call or email you with your Authorization Code.

After the 7-day trial period, HomeCost will cease to function.

Once you register HomeCost and receive your Authorization Code, enter it in the main screen.

This will cause your copy of HomeCost to become a legally registered copy licensed for one (1) user.

Benefits of Registration:

In addition to removing the 7-day trial limit, registering HomeCost unlocks the worksheets where city

indexes, cost factors and cost data are stored. You may then add, modify and customize such data to

suit your business and locality.

Waste of time

Essentially this tool was pointless for me as it's US based and I'm in the UK. The average costings used are all related to the US and this is way off the mark.

This factor to one side, I see little point in the tool since it simply works out the cost of an average house based on a few loose parameters which you complete. It throws in the cost of a dishwasher and a dog basket if you want them included and goes away and adds it all together.

Any homebuilding show or magazine would give a more accurate idea of the cost of building a house close to your own needs.
